 NAM-HKU Fellowshipin Global Health LeadershipBackgroundThanks to the generous donation from Dr Patrick Poon, this fellowship scheme aims to provide a two-year trainingfor early to mid-career scholars to learn and work at HKU School of Public Health and the U.S. National Academy ofMedicine in areas under the umbrella of global health leadership. The fellowship programme will commence in 2019and run for three years initially, with one Fellow to be selected each year.About the ProgrammeThe two-year Fellowship shall include:• scholarship to undertake the Master of Public Health programme, on either part-time or full-time basis, at TheUniversity of Hong Kong, Asia’s Global University and the oldest university in Hong Kong• a three-month stay at the U.S. National Academy of Medicine (NAM), Washington, D.C, each year for twoconsecutive years, during which time the Fellow will actively learn about the work of an appropriate Board/ExpertCommittee/Roundtable, and be assigned a faculty mentor who is a member of NAM• roundtrip airfare and accommodation for the two three-month stays at NAM• attachment at HKU School of Public Health, which has an internationally recognized track record of innovativeand ground breaking research in public health, and a leader in postgraduate and professional education and trainingin public health in AsiaEligibility CriteriaThe Fellowship welcomes applications from early to mid-career scholars from all over the world, with particularattention to scholars from Asia-Pacific region.
